Once again a feast of hurling was on show in James Stephens Kells Rd this morning as Sars U14 faced Craughwell from Galway in the Shield Semi Finals. Another great performance from the lads and were unlucky to miss out by a single point on a score of 0-8 to 2-3. Craughwell were defeated by 2 point in the final later on in the afternoon.
So their Féile journey came to an end in the sun baked fields of Kilkenny.
Many thanks to the host families who looked after the lads over the weekend and to the wonderful hosts O’Louglin Gaels, what a wonderful time was had by the lads, parents and families with some great memories and new friendships.
Meanwhile the girls dominant the Camogie weekend with a close encounter against Scariff/Ogonnelloe in the Semi Final but eventually they won out on a score line of 2-6 to 2-4. In the final they had a comfortable win 2-13 to 1-2 over Knockavilla Tipperary to retain their Feile na nGael Division 1 title.
So welcome home to all our teams and congrats to you all for your efforts on the field and doing your families, club and county proud.
Some tired and burnt faces in the club tonight but aren't we so proud.
Well done to all.
