Monday last brought us the very sad news of the sudden passing of John Twomey of Whites Cross. John was an integral part of the Sarsfields and Glanmire U14 Team that won both both County championships in 1968, John is pictured 4th from left front row.

Over the years the Twomey family have been great GAA supporters, with the Twomey sisters making a huge contribution the Sarsfields Camogie Club.

Sarsfields Hurling Club would like to extend our sympathy to his wife Geraldine, children Niall, Sean, and Ellen and family members.
