Sarsfields U14 progressed to the Final stages of the County Premier 1 Feile today in Togher.
It started at 11am with Sars opener against Douglas. Some great performance all round gave Sars the perfect start on a score line of 1-2 to 0-4.
Meanwhile St Finbarrs did enough to overcome Valley Rovers 1-6 to 0-6
In the 2nd game at 12 noon Sars notched up the gears with against Valley Rovers knowing that a win would gave then one foot in the finals. A 12 point win on a score of 3-6 to 1-0 ensure the 2nd victory and allowing the bench to be emptied.
A draw between St Finbarrs and Douglas on a score of 0-6 to 1-3 ensure that with 4 points the job was done and that a place in the Semi Finals was guaranteed.
In the final outing of the day Douglas overcame Valley Rovers on a score of 5-7 to 0-3 and with Sars and St Finbarrs through it was a case of enjoying the last game and avoiding any injuries and ensuring all players got valuable game time.
The final will see now Sars step up against Ballincollig and St. Finbarrs against the Glen Rovers in a chance to represent Cork at the National Finals in the sunny South East in June.
