All roads from Riverstown lead to Páirc Uí Rinn this Saturday afternoon when Sarsfields Under 16 Team take to the field against Douglas in the Under 16 Premier 1 County Final.

After a disappointing start back in early May in Round 1 where they came up second best to Glen Rovers on a score line of 0-11 to 2-14 they turn the corner through the back door as the Summer holidays began in late June with a win against Kiltha Og 3-17 to 3-10 in Cobh.

Next up in earlier August was Ibane Gaels in Carrigaline. After somewhat of a slow start nothing separated the teams until a late rally in the last 10 mins saw off Ibane Gaels on a scoreline of 1-19 to 1-13.

In the Semi-Final a month later on 3rd September in UCC Mardyke they once again met Glen Rovers. Their never say die attitude been 13 points down with less that 10 minutes left the team fought back gallantly with both a free and penalty rattling the net with seconds remaining to win by the narrowest of margin on a score of 5-9 to 3-14
